In this direction, EXIS will address issues related to the priority of the &#8220;Call on public authorities to improve their actions against discrimination, racism, antisemitism, anti-Muslim hatred and xenophobia, LGBTQI-phobia and all other forms of intolerance.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Purpose of the Action<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The EXIS project focuses, through capacity-building activities, learning techniques, and the development of pilot methods and tools, on the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">increasing knowledge<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">adopting a gender-based approach towards members of rainbow communities, particularly victims of hate\/racist crimes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">changing police officers\u2019 perceptions towards Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">strengthening the culture of multidisciplinary cooperation between police, CSOs, and other relevant authorities for the protection of LGBTIQ+ community<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">addressing the limited number of reported related crimes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">conducting effective investigative procedures.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Cooperation with Participating Entities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The project is coordinated by the <strong>&#8220;European and Development Programs Management Agency (EDPMA)&#8221;<\/strong> of the <strong>Ministry of Citizen Protection<\/strong> and includes five (5) other partners (six partners in total) from three (3) different EU Member States (Greece &#8211; Cyprus &#8211; Germany), as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">University of West Attica \u2013 UNIWA (Greece)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Center for Security Studies \u2013 KEMEA (Greece)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Thessaloniki PRIDE (Greece)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">IANUS (Cyprus)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">University of Applied Sciences for Public Services in Bavaria (Germany)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The total budget of EXIS Project is <strong>599.463,28 \u20ac<\/strong>, with <strong>90% funded by European Commission<\/strong> and specifically by <strong>CERV-2023-EQUAL funding programme<\/strong>.
