This action refers to the empowerment of the Agencies, directly or indirectly, against CBRN-E threats and has as its ultimate goal the development of educational and post-educational programs, for the benefit of the staff of the main involved Security and Civil Protection authorities as well as other Agencies of the Our country.
The agencies participating in the action are the following:
Preparedness & Response for CBRNE INCidEnts
The implementation of the action will give it a European character as it includes a training program for first responders (First Responders) by the bodies of the countries participating in the action as well as the realization of exercises, a radiological attack in the historical center of Athens in Greece and a chemical attack in Porto in Portugal
It also includes procurement of special equipment and combines classroom and field training in simulated and realistic situations. The exercise in the field combines capabilities that can give maximum in dealing with such threats.
Budget: €2,875,646.40 (90% EU contribution – 10% State contribution – VAT not included)
Duration: 36 months (expires 01-01-2022)
