The Action entitled: “ Enhancing the capacity of the competent Greek Authorities for Maritime and Land borders surveillance” is a Special Action of the Border Management and Visa Policy Financial Support Instrument .
The aim of the Action is to reinforce the Hellenic Police with appropriate patrol vehicles and patrol vehicles carrying a team of police dogs to strengthen the services responsible for the control and protection of the external borders. These vehicles will be registered in the Frontex Technical Equipment Pool and may be made available by Frontex in any operational area (other than the Member State that has procured them), unless that Member State faces specific situations at its borders.
The total budget of the action amounts to 2.785.000,00 €.
